Hardscape is mostly what you cannot see: excavation to firm ground, base compacted in lifts, and a plan for water. Get those right and the patio stays flat and the wall stays straight. Skip them and the surface starts moving in a season or two.
Built from the base up
We excavate to firm subgrade, build base in compacted lifts, and set drainage before the first paver or block goes down. On clay that means getting water out from behind and under the work. On sand it means confinement so the base cannot migrate. Either way, the boring part is what keeps the pretty part flat.

Retaining walls are engineering, not stacking
A wall holds back soil and water. Height, slope, what sits above it, and what is behind it all change the build, and tall or surcharged walls can require engineering and permits. We confirm cross-section and drainage on site before a price is final, and we say so when a wall needs more than a crew and a plate compactor.
Designed with the rest of the yard
We plan hardscape alongside planting, lighting, irrigation, and water features, so conduit, sleeves, and drain lines go in once, in the right order, instead of getting cut in later.
