Design first, then dirt

A landscape that still looks right in year three starts with the right plant in the right place, and a plan that accounts for how big things actually get. We look at sun and shade through the day, soil and drainage, the architecture of the house, how you use the yard, and what you are willing to maintain. Then we draw it.

Design services

• Site analysis: sun, soil, drainage, existing trees, and views worth keeping or hiding

• Planting plans with species, sizes, quantities, and spacing at mature size

• Concept renderings so you can compare directions before committing

• Phased plans that let you build over two or three seasons on purpose

• Material selection: stone, mulch, edging, and planters

Installation

• Sod installation, lawn expansion, and grade correction before sod goes down

• Privacy screening and hedges, planted at a size that actually screens

• Foundation, entry, and courtyard planting

• Shade gardens under mature oaks and pines, where most plant lists fail

• Trees and specimen plants, staked and watered in properly

• Bed renovation: removal, soil prep, planting, edging, and mulch or pine straw

• Dry creek beds and planted swales that handle water and look intentional

Soil is the budget nobody plans for

Planting into compacted builder fill or raw Sandhills sand is how good plants die slowly. We sample soil, amend where it pays, and set irrigation for the plants rather than the calendar. Clemson Extension guidance on species and planting windows drives our schedule, which is why we would rather plant your trees in fall than in June.
